Horse Portrait of Kharisma in Oils

This page features the elegant oil painting of Kharisma, a bay gelding with a calm and noble presence. Canadian client Marianne Goriuk commissioned the portrait to honour Kharisma’s grace and character, and Nicholas captured his likeness with soft brushwork and rich natural tones.

About the Commission

Marianne supplied a beautifully lit photo of Kharisma, which Nicholas used to create this 18 x 14 inch oil painting on gallery-wrapped canvas. His aim was to reflect not only Kharisma’s physical beauty, but also the serenity and poise that defined him.

The finished piece was photographed in natural light before being shipped to Canada. Marianne chose not to frame the canvas, preferring to highlight the hand-painted edges. Kharisma’s portrait now hangs proudly in her timber-panelled home.
