fine art pet portraits by commission
Laura emailed in 2009 to ask if we would paint her dearly departed dog called Tig. She lives in Jersey however her mum doesn't live far from us so she visited us with her photos and had a cuppa and a long chat about what she would like. She then came back to collect the portrait after the summer and we took some photos of Laura with the portrait. She was also kind enough to take a photo of the portrait on the wall when it was framed! The painting was a 16 x 12 oil on canvas and we are happy as we had another 'happy client'!
You have definitely captured his eyes which I knew you would. When I showed it to Kevin's brother yesterday he couldn't believe it was an oil. He was very impressed, as am I. You have confirmed that you were the right person to capture his spirit.
I will be over the last week in October, so I will give you a ring to arrange a suitable time to visit if that's ok. I'm looking forward to seeing the lovely Amram again and obviously can't wait to see my boy's portrait in the flesh. Expect some tears though.
I hope you're all doing well down there in 'sunny' Wales, especially the lovely Amram. Weather has been horrendous here for the last few weeks and doesn't look like it's going to subside any time soon.
Anyway, I picked Piglet's portrait up from the framers today. Kevin came with me to pick the frame and I couldn't be happier with it. It is now hanging on the wall, taking pride of place. Thank you again so much for capturing my boy so well.
I will be in touch again soon as I would still like Nick to do a portrait of Bedlam kitten for my Mum, probably for her birthday in October as it's a bit late for Christmas now.
Take care and I hope you all have a lovely Christmas and very Happy New Year
