We received an enquiry just after christmas 2011 with a request to ask if we could paint a portrait of two horses for a birthday surprise in June. We were delighted to schedule this in for David, however the initial photos David took were very blurred and dark. We helped David with some tips for taking photos however sadly the next batch of photos were still not good enough for us to work from. Luckily David has a photographer friend who was able to visit and take some wonderful photos for us to work from and they were just perfect for the portrait. Rhoda has asked me to pass on that she was thrilled with the portrait - so it has been a great success; Nick has really caught the horses and brought them to life on the canvas. We will enjoy looking at them for years to come. I have attached some photos of the picture hanging in our hall. If you are ever back in the West Country, then please do call in and see us - we are about 30 minutes from Exeter.
