Thank Nick for me, the picture looks splendid I am looking forward to seeing the detail in real life. The work has already surpassed my expectations. Stig is a rare blonde Hovawart and has crimping on his fur which is most pronounced after he is wet however his ears carry it permanently and with the plume of his tale distinguishes him from the more popular golden retrievers. He has been to Crufts every year where he behaves very well since he is our pet and not a trained show dog. He also enjoys agility, scenting and playing with my lads which is his best hobby. His mum is the search and rescue dog for Kent and his co-owners will probably add your link to their website Spicemill Hovawarts once they see the painting. He may be a dad early in the new year which is a thrill! We are also interested in having a print which will be sent up to Barra to my brother who is not easily impressed but admires the hound who will tolerate long car and a six hour rocky boat journey up to see him.
We do not often get snow for long in this part of the world and so Stig launches himself with great joy constantly rolling which slows down any notion of a "walk" nor any chance of the golden crimped pufffball being taken for Monty my friend's retriever! We are lucky to live in a semi-rural community where there are rolling hills, wild deer, foxes and a regular string of racehorses out on our morning trot.
I love the web site and researched for a long time before contacting you directly. The transition of progress on each piece as the work is underway are a very inviting confirmation of your skills and so is the friendly professionalism of your personal blog.
