Welcome to the gallery of Eric, a beautiful black gelding painted in oils by Nicholas Beall. This portrait was part of a special commission for our client Marianne Goriuk, who wanted to capture Eric’s calm strength and character on canvas. The final painting truly reflects his noble presence.
About the Commission of Eric
Eric’s portrait was commissioned by Canadian client Marianne Goriuk, who provided a high-resolution photo taken especially for the painting. Nicholas captured Eric in oils at 18 x 14 inches on a gallery-wrapped canvas using traditional methods.
The finished portrait was photographed in our sunny Welsh garden before being carefully packed and shipped to Canada. Marianne chose to hang the painting unframed to show the hand-painted edges. Eric’s portrait now hangs proudly on a timber wall in her home.
