Jo Brown (USA) contacted me at the end of 2011 to ask if I would be able to create a montage pencil drawing of their loved and sadly missed Jack Russell Eleanor. Jo and her family wanted a montage style portrait as they had lots of lovely photos of Eleanor that they loved and this is the outcome below. I have included some emails from Jo during the process and once the portrait had arrived. We had conversed via email, our portraits in progress blog and facebook too - wonderful ways to keep in touch with clients!
Our portrait of Eleanor is up and looks wonderful! Thank you again for doing such a fantastic job on it. Everyone who comes in our house loves it. We keep raving about you and Nick. Here are some pictures of it hanging in our living room. I am sorry they look so yellow. The walls are slightly yellowish in color and the light was poor that day. I will try to get another camera and take one or two more. Maybe they will come out clearer. Until then, know that Eleanor is up and gracing our home! Also, I know I have commented online, but I want to say again, I love the changes to your studio. I am glad it is warmer for you...but it is also quite lovely.
All the best. I will try to get another photo or two to you soon.
Melanie, it looks so wonderful! I can't wait to see the original. Thank you thank you for doing such a great job on this for us. You have such a great talent. Thanks for sharing it with all of us!
Just had to say that you caught Eleanor's different looks so well. Thanks!
Melanie, the original got here today! Can you believe it? That was very fast! It is absolutely perfect! It is even so mauch better in person than even the proof showed. Thank you, thank you for doing such a fabulous job on capturing our little Eleanor's expressions. I will send you photos of it framed and on the wall :-)
