Choosing your Medium We specialize in two mediums, oil paintings and graphite pencil drawing. To help you choose your medium we have provided the information and examples below. We traditionally hand paint and draw all of our portraits ourselves, hence our faily long waiting list. If you would like a portrait for a special date please get in contact with us as soon as possible.
Oil Paintings starting from £250 Nick paints all of our Oil portraits which take many hours to complete. Nick spend a lot of time layering colours and allowing the oil to dry between stages. This is our most popular medium and oils are suitable for all animal, full bodu, head study, full background etc. We use Linen canvas for most of our portraits, which are professionally stretched. I ahve taken a photo of 'Hattie' below and the client has hung hattie on the wall unframed. The canvases are 19mm deep and so can be hung framed or unframed - the choice is yours. if you are going to hang your portrait unframed, we will always paint the edges of the canvas.

Graphite Pencil Drawings & Tinted pencil drawings starting from £100
Graphite Pencil is a very precise medium to work with and each portrait is hand drawn on Italian Fabriano paper. Pencils are suited for head and full body and full backgrounds. They are drawn on high quality Italian Fabriano paper and should be framed under glass.
