Pet Portraits and Family Portraits by Melanie and Nick
All of our pet portrait paintings and drawings are unique pieces of art and are traditionally hand painted by Nick or myself. We have been painting professionally for over 15 years and this is our full time job. We adore it! We thoroughly enjoy our job and working with every client brings us joy as we find out about their pets, and often make great friends across the world. Every animal we paint is different. Every dog, horse or cat has unique qualities and personalities and so each painting holds different challenges for us.
Photos
We work from your own photos and if you are contemplating on commissioning us for a pet portrait, try to take or find as many good quality photos as you can for us to work from. Mediums
Nick and I work in three mediums, Oils on linen, graphite pencil and pastel. We work and teach with the majority of mediums available to artists, however we now specialise in the mediums we feel have the ideal properties and versatility to create stunning portraits time and time again.
