Pet Portraits Commission Information
Wendy contacted me in 2009 to ask if I would be able to draw Rocky as a gift for friends. Wendy is a previous client, I drew her own dog Jaffaman the springer spaniel and also an Otterhouse and Red Setter over the previous years. Wendy adopted Rocky, an elderly goat, from a family who were unable to look after him and she had him in his retirement for about 3 years. Sadly Rocky died in 2010 and so Wendy thought it would be wonderful to have a portrait of Rocky. Apparently his favoruite treat were ginger biscuits! I have added a lovely testimonial from Wendy and the reference photo i worked form to create the 12 x 10 pencil drawing. The Pencil Drawing with Detail
We scan the majority of our artwork here in the studio, we have an epson scanner, or for the very large drawings we take photographs of the artwork using a Sony DSLR camera, a tripod and two diffused photography lights. Our scans and photographs are always perfect quality if clients require giclee prints of their hand drawn portrait for friends or family.

Our clients email a range of photographs for us to work with, we use one for the main pose of the portrait and others for detail, backgrounds etc
Client Comments and Feedback
We are always thrilled to read our clients emails, we are in touch with clients via email and sometimes via telephone, skype and texts throughout the entire process. Clients also leave us messages on our portraits in progress blog when they are watching their portrait in progress and also comment on our facebook page too. We try to add snippets of their emails here for you to read, plus you can see more photos of happy clients with the portraits in our client feedback section too.

Hello again :), I thought I would also pass this part of the E-mail I received from the family that previously owned Rocky.
" We went straight to the artist's website and lo and behold! it was as if Rocky were still with us. The sketch is beautifully executed and captures so well his slightly quizzical expression :-).
I emailed Ben, who replied "Lovely!", and Prisca, who said "Yes, I like it" and Sophie who responded "Very sweet! and evocative of his character. How nice of Wendy to have it done".
It really made our week. We'll have the picture framed and give it pride of place, perhaps on the entrance hall wall."
