Pet Portrait Painting Information
This is Max an Entlebucher Mountain Dog from the USA. Carol commissioned me to paint Max from a variety of photos, I have added a few below, but it was an amalgamation of about three put together to get the perfect pose that she wanted. Sadly Max is no longer with us so it was important to get it just right. Max was painted on cotton canvas to the size of 16 x 12 in 2005. I have added a lovely testimonial from Carol along with a few stages of the portrait, a final scan and a detail of the painting. I hope you enjoy this page of information and if you would like to commission us to paint your pet don't hesitate to email us at any time.
The Pet Portrait Painting in Progress....
Photos are taken during the progress of the portrait in our studio. The lighting can change throughout the day which can account for colour differences between each stage.
Final Pet Portrait with Detail....
Client Pet Portraits Reference Photos
The photos depicted below may vary in colour to the finished painting above. This can be due to the scanned oil painting being slightly different to the original or often clients give us more than one photo to work from i.e. one for the pose and another for colouring.

Client Testimonial
Dear Melanie
The portrait has arrived!
I cannot adequately express my appreciation.
I feel as though my sweet boy, Maximilian, is now here both in body and spirit.
The resemblance is striking, the workmanship outstanding!
You have captured his essence, heart, and character perfectly.
I am forever indebted to you for giving me the opportunity to keep him forever close.
We all still miss him terribly.
I hope to put the portrait on his website with both (due) credit and links as well as soon as possible.
Ill be in touch soon when thats accomplished.
I hope we can work together again soon for (maybe?) another portrait and some website hook-ups.
Right now, I am just too overwhelmed&..
Thanks Again and Kindest Regards,
Carol Di Bari
