Pet Portrait Painting Information

Chilli was very poorly when Ian commissioned me to paint her portrait in 2006. She was going through some very tough times and Ian wasn't sure if this was going to end up being a memorial painting. Happily Chilli recovered and is doing very well. You can read testimonials from both ian and his wife Lindy regarding the portrait and Chilli's health. Chilli was painted on canvas 24 x 18 in size from UK clients. I hope you enjoy this page of information and if you would like to commission us to paint your pet don't hesitate to email us at any time.

The Pet Portrait Painting in Progress....

Photos are taken during the progress of the portrait in our studio. The lighting can change throughout the day which can account for colour differences between each stage.

Client Pet Portraits Reference Photos
The photos depicted below may vary in colour to the finished painting above. This can be due to the scanned oil painting being slightly different to the original or often clients give us more than one photo to work from i.e. one for the pose and another for colouring.

Client Testimonial

Melanie Yes it was a great success thank you! Lindy plans to write to you seperately. Unfortunately Chilli is still some way from a full recovery and although there are glimpses of the dog (puppy really) we had before, there is still a long way to go. Whatever the outcome, the portrait will be a terrific permanent memory. Hope you are well and not working too hard! Best regards Ian x

Dear Melanie Please excuse me for not contacting you sooner.
I LOVE my portrait of Chilli.......as you know she had a terrible time and thankfully is now mending slowly.
She has to have another op at the end of June in the hopes that her insides can be improved . Although she appears well, the illness damaged her intestines and she is so young we want to try and make life easier for her. Ian explained how stressful the whole portrait project was....knowing that if she didn't make it, the present wouldn't have seemed appropriate quite so soon after. BUT, she did, and we can all enjoy the fabulous painting. Phew! Thanks for all your interest in her recovery.
