Pet Portrait Painting Information

Chester, the Caviler King Charles Spaniel, was immortalized on canvas for Ellen (USA) who purchased a portrait as a surprise birthday present for her husband Jim. Sadly Chester is no longer with us, he was a rescue who was with them form the age of 7 to the grand old age of 14. You can read about Chester and see more photos of him on Ellen's website - Chester's Page. I have added some photos of the painting in progress, it was an oil on canvas 12 x 10 and a final scan and detail too. There are some reference photos we worked form and a lovely testimonial from ellen accompanied by some fantastic photos of when Jim her husband received the portrait. I hope you enjoy this page of information and if you would like to commission us to paint your pet don't hesitate to email us at any time.

The Pet Portrait Painting in Progress....

Photos are taken during the progress of the portrait in our studio. The lighting can change throughout the day which can account for colour differences between each stage.

Client Pet Portraits Reference Photos
The photos depicted below may vary in colour to the finished painting above. This can be due to the scanned oil painting being slightly different to the original or often clients give us more than one photo to work from i.e. one for the pose and another for colouring.

Client Testimonial

Melanie, I think it's perfect. I just LOVE it!!!!! I am so excited and don't know if I'll be able to wait til Jim's birthday at the end of Sept. to give it to him. Thank you, thank you, for this lovely portrait of our dear dear old man. Please let me know when you've mail it so I will know to expect it.

Here are the pics of Jim opening his present.  Feel free to post them on your website.  We think we're going to hang it here at home, but we're interested in getting some prints of the portrait for Jim's office and my office at work. We will be in touch.
