"Cadbury" Chocolate Labrador in Oils On Canvas 24 x 18
Deborah Risbridger emailed me this beautiful photo of Cadbury, a chocolate labrador puppy, as she wanted a portrait of her friends dog for their wedding present. She originally thought she would like a watercolour or a pencil drawing as she told me the couple in question had a very modern house, so it needed to fit in well with their décor. As soon as I saw the wonderful photo of Cadbury I knew right away that an oil painting would be the most suitable. I decided to keep a modern feel by almost painting the entire portrait in a limited pallet. This means that I would only be using the colours of the dog and the same tones and hues in the background. |
