Pet Portrait Painting Information

Gary from the UK contacted us just before Zeus passed away as he wanted a portrait of Zeus to remember his wonderful life by. Gary managed to take a good range of photos and sadly while painting Zeus he passed away. This turned out to be a wonderful portrait and a beautiful reminder of Gary's friend Zeus which he will always treasure. It was painted in oils on cotton canvas to the size of 16 x 12 in 2006. I hope you enjoy this page of information and if you would like to commission us to paint your pet don't hesitate to email us at any time.

The Pet Portrait Painting in Progress....

Photos are taken during the progress of the portrait in our studio. The lighting can change throughout the day which can account for colour differences between each stage.

Client Pet Portraits Reference Photos
The photos depicted below may vary in colour to the finished painting above. This can be due to the scanned oil painting being slightly different to the original or often clients give us more than one photo to work from i.e. one for the pose and another for colouring.
