Pet Portrait Painting Information

Harley's portrait was commissioned by Rowena from the UK in 2006. It is an oil portrait painted on fine cotton canvas to the size of 16 x 12. I have also added a couple of photos of Harley along with a photo of a sparkly pink collar Rowena wanted me to use instead of the purple one. I have added some stages below I took when I was painting the portrait along with the final scan and a close up detail of the painting. I have also included a lovely testimonial from Rowena when she received the painting and we arestill in touch with Rowena to this day. I hope you enjoy this page of information and if you would like to commission us to paint your pet don't hesitate to email us at any time.

The Pet Portrait Painting in Progress....

Photos are taken during the progress of the portrait in our studio. The lighting can change throughout the day which can account for colour differences between each stage.

Client Pet Portraits Reference Photos
The photos depicted below may vary in colour to the finished painting above. This can be due to the scanned oil painting being slightly different to the original or often clients give us more than one photo to work from i.e. one for the pose and another for colouring.

Client Testimonial

I am speechless. Harley looks fabulous! I am so thrilled with how she's coming along. You are really doing her such a great justice and so far it exceeds my wildest hopes! This is such an emotional journey for me to see her like this and I hope it doesn't sound too off the wall, but she looks so lifelike its beautiful. It brought a tear to my eye this afternoon when I looked at her. Cant wait to see the finished portrait.

Oh my! I am sitting here sobbing. She looks so beautiful I am absolutely THRILLED with it. Words fail me. You have done her proud and its even better than I could ever have dreamed of. thank you so much.
