Pet Portrait Painting Information
This portrait was commissioned by a chap called Kevin in Canada for his fathers birthday in 2009. It is an oil portrait painted on fine cotton canvas to the size of 30 x 20. I took some photos of the painting in our garden before I packed the painting to send as it was a beautiful sunny day in mid summer, mainly so that you could see the scale of the portrait. As you can see our cat always liked to get in on the action, sadly no longer with us! I think it gives the painting scale. I have also added some photos of Bella that we worked from and a few photos we took when I was painting the portrait along with the final scan and a close up detail of the painting. I have also included a lovely testimonial from Kevin when he received the painting. I hope you enjoy this page of information and if you would like to commission us to paint your pet don't hesitate to email us at any time.
The Pet Portrait Painting in Progress....
Photos are taken during the progress of the portrait in our studio. The lighting can change throughout the day which can account for colour differences between each stage.
Final Pet Portrait with Detail....
Client Pet Portraits Reference Photos
The photos depicted below may vary in colour to the finished painting above. This can be due to the scanned oil painting being slightly different to the original or often clients give us more than one photo to work from i.e. one for the pose and another for colouring.

Client Testimonial
Hello Melanie,
I just wanted to let you know that it arrived, in pristine condition! It is absolutely amazing, and everyone was shocked at how realistic it looks. Thank you very much =) Kevin
