Pet Portrait Painting Information

This portrait was commissioned by a lovely family in the US in 2005. It is an oil portrait painted on fine cotton canvas to the size of 20 x 16. Here you can see some photos we took when I was painting the portrait and the final scan with a close up detail of the painting. I have also included a few of the photos we used for Chance's portrait and also a lovely testimonial from Thelma when she received the painting. She very kindly sent us photos of the portrait when it was framed, along with chance too! I hope you enjoy this page of information and if you would like to commission us to paint your pet don't hesitate to email us at any time.

The Pet Portrait Painting in Progress....

Photos are taken during the progress of the portrait in our studio. The lighting can change throughout the day which can account for colour differences between each stage.

Client Pet Portraits Reference Photos
The photos depicted below may vary in colour to the finished painting above. This can be due to the scanned oil painting being slightly different to the original or often clients give us more than one photo to work from i.e. one for the pose and another for colouring.

Client Testimonial

Hello Melanie,

Received the portrait of Chance yesterday, but couldn't get over to my Mother's house till today. It is so beautiful I rushed it down to the frame place and they have promised it to me by 23 Dec. Everyone there was just amazed at your work.

They were still talking about it when I left. I will send you a picture of the framed portrait and Chance to you after Christmas. Along with remarks from my husband when he receives it. He has absolutely no idea about this! Thank you again for such a beautiful job, it is even more fantastic in person than on the web and I didn't think that was possible!! Have a very Merry Christmas and I promise to email the picture after Christmas. Thelma.
