Surrounding Area
We live in a very unspoilt part of the UK and luckily it doesn't get many tourists as we are about 15 miles from the coast which is where the majority of the tourists visit in the summer months.
My parents farm is about 6 miles from the coast (only half an hour drive) and its lovely to go back there and visit the coastal towns and and do the general touristy things every once in a while. An ice cream walking along the harbour is a must on a warm summers day. But its also nice to be able to for a a hike, or a gentle walk through the forest without the hustle and bustle of the tourist trade.
The best part is that we only live a few minutes drive form the forrest and its wonderful walks. The forest is quite a large area and being only about a 5 minute drive from our cottage and doesn't take long to get to the main view point. This photo below gives a panoramic view of the area. I took about 4 photos of the central view and joined them together.
I will try to take some new photos as the spring and summer progresses as its currently winter and so everything is looking a little cold and fresh at the moment! |
