Our Cottage

This is our cottage. We live in mid West Wales in a wonderful rural area surrounded by trees and fields. We have a couple of neighbours and a small village half a mile down the road. There are lots of fields with sheep and horses and country walks around us. Its perfect for an artist!

The cottage is about 300 years old and still has the original Oak beams inside with a huge inglenook fireplace. You can see the depth of the fireplace by looking at the positioning of the windows.

The cottage looks quite small from the outside because of the low roof but inside its pretty spacious and luckily still retains most of character with its low ceilings and beams. The majority of our visitors have to duck, if you are over 6 foot you might leave with a bump on the head!

I will add more photos as the months go by, the garden at the back is pretty large and we are just about to start work on enlarging the pond, hopefully putting in a greenhouse and a making a log store as we have a wood burning stove in the lounge. I also need to make some raised beds for a veggie garden! Watch this space!
