Frame Ready Portraits

If you have chosen an unframed option, your portrait will arrive to you 'Frame Ready'. Our portraits are all standard sizes so they can either be placed into a ready made frame or taken to your local framers.

We provide your portrait with a conservation grade, beveled edge mount/matt made by Neilson Bainbridge. Once the portrait is placed inside the mount it is taped with conservation grade tape. The self adhesive strip will not deteriorate over time.

It is then covered with a museum grade protective covering, plastic corner edges are then placed on all corners of the portrait and then this is placed into a transparent cellophane sleeve.

We suggest it is best to keep the portrait in this packaging until it is ready to be placed in the frame. You can either take your portrait to a local framer, or you can purchase a frame for your local shop or store.

Oil Portraits
Our oil portraits are painted on Linen canvas professionally stretched over a wooden stretcher.

Hanging your Oils unframed
The canvas has a depth of 20mm and the edges are painted so that you have the option of hanging the portrait straight on the wall when it arrives.

Frames for Oils
We offer a high quality framing service and are able to frame your portrait for you. We have a wide selection of frame styles for you to choose from, let us know the style of frame you prefer and we can show you a range that suits your requirements. Our framed portraits are shipped worldwide via ParcelForce secure delivery.

Framing Oils under Glass
Traditionally oils are framed without glass, however some of our clients prefer to have their oil portraits mounted/matted and framed under glass. This isn't a problem and if you would prefer your painting to be framed this way please let us know upon ordering.

Framing Pastels & Pencils

All Pastel and Pencil portraits must be mounted / matted and framed under glass. This allows the surface of the portrait to be kept away from the glass itself.

We have a large variety of frames and mouldings for you to choose from, just let us know the style of framing your prefer - ie wood, silver, gold etc and we can show you a variety of mouldings that will match your requirements and home decor.

As you can see from the illustration right, our frames are handcrafted and carefully constructed to protect your artwork and show it off to its best on your wall, protecting it for many years to come.
