Information about Bespoke Frames for Pet Portraits

We have a lovely local framer called Jane who does a superb job of framing all of our pet portraits. Only using the best quality mouldings and materials, she to creates all of our bespoke frames for us. We have a wide selection of frame styles to choose from and we try to work as close as we can with our clients to make sure the frame suits both portrait and the clients home decor.
FSC- Certified Wood
All of our portraits are framed using FSC-certified wood. This means that all of the wood used by our framer is certified under the standards set by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council). The FSC label on our products guarantees that our cleints can trust the sources of the wood - which puts all our minds at ease. FSC is a non-profit organization that advocates responsible management of the world’s forests. Its standards ensure that forestry is practiced in an environmentally responsible way. To read more about the FSC visit theri website here - www.fsc.org

Oils fully protected when framed
Our oil portraits are painted on Linen canvas professionally stretched over a wooden stretcher. The canvas has a depth of 19mm and the edges are painted so that you have the option of hanging the portrait straight on the wall when it arrives. Alternatively you can have the portrait framed and our framer makes sure when when she is framing the painting the canvas is not touched or damaged by the frame at all. As you can see from the photo below if there came a time where you wanted to remove or change the frame the canvas is as perfect as when it left our studio.

Oils framed under non reflective glass
Traditionally oils are framed without glass, however some of our clients prefer to have their oil portraits mounted/matted and framed under glass. This isn't a problem and if you would prefer your painting to be framed this way please let us know upon ordering. You can see an example of a framed oil under non reflective glass below.

Pencils and colour tinted portraits framed under non reflective glass
Pencils need to be framed under glass and we always use non reflective glass so that our customers can hang their portraits in any position in their home without the fear of having any shine or reflection on them. They are mounted / matted to keep the glass away from the actual portrait itself. We use professional conservation grade boards for all of our mounts / mats to ensure longevity and protection of the artwork. If you have any question about our framing service please don't hesitate to contact us at any time and we will be more than happy to help and give guidance in any way we can.
