Labradors and Labrador Retrievers are very popular breeds and below are just a small range of the portraits Nick and I have painted or drawn over the years. Nicks portraits are the pastels and mine are the oils.
Each dog has its own unique character which we enjoy capturing. Our main aim when painting a pet portrait for a commission is to capture the owners dogs character and personality.
Its easy to paint any dog but much more difficult to paint 'your' dog. We really enjoy painting the Golden's on darker coloured backgrounds, it really helps to accentuate their colouring.
