Boxer Pet Portraits
Boxers are another of my favourite breeds, I really love their faces, they are so dynamic to portray. Each boxer I have drawn or painted have had completely different characters and all look very different. This is fantastic for me and a wonderful challenge to create each one.
I particularly enjoyed painting Harley, left, her twinkley collar sets the portrait off a treat and the natural green grass background helps the white coat. Its actually got a very contemporary feel with the dynamic colours.
The portrait below of Betsy, the close up detail of her face, was a full head portrait but I wanted to show the detail in her face as it is very soft and delicate. It was drawn in coloured pencil, and the others are painted in oils on canvas.
