This is my latest portrait to come off the easel and I have really enjoyed this piece. I initially started sketching the portrait on grey velour paper but it felt too cold and so I started reworking it again on the cream and it worked much better with the colour and texture of the sand. I am really happy with the results and I think it gives a nice peaceful sunny feel to the portrait, I can almost hear the lapping of the waves with Mr Muggles watching out to sea. I think it would look great framed in a beachy driftwood style frame, and  im looking forward to seeing what the client chooses.
