Spaniel Portrait on Linen
This time of year things get pretty busy here in the studio, making sure all of our clients are happy, dealing with new enquiries as there are always more this time of year than usual and also keeping close to our schedule as its important we don’t over run with the portrait timings. So far we are still on schedule however I have been delayed in blogging Connor so here he is along with the work in progress at the same time! I hope you like him! I have been working on the Sophie and daisy portrait and will post a final scan of that soon too and will also link up to the previous post with the start of the progress so that they can be linked together as this one has been going on a long time : )

Here you will find up to the minute news from the studio and see the pet portraits we are currently working on. You are more than welcome to contact us at any time!
All of the paintings you see on our blog are commissions from clients worldwide. We traditionally hand paint or draw every pet portrait ourselves. There's no digital trickery involved! We start by drawing out the image by hand and follow on with painting in oils, pastel or in pencil and you can follow each stage we make here on the blog on a daily basis.

Melanie this is a lovely portrait of Connor. It brought a tear to my eye, and many happy memories of my own long departed and much loved spaniel called Lady who was the image of Connor.
Hi Teresa,
I am so pleased you like the portrait, the client loves it to and its going to be posted tomorrow so hopefully the recipient will have a great Christmas. Every now and again theres a dog that reminds us of our own and for me its the next portrait that I will be posting soon of the collie called Gina, she reminds me of our Jenny and has bought back a lot of memories while painting. Its amazing how sometimes a painting can say more than words.
