I am nearing the final stages of the portrait now and i have just got to take a few hours to go back over each horse, making sure that I have captured the character and personality of each one and tidy things up. The next job will be to take some photos of them.

Here are a couple of photos of the montage portrait so that you can see it in full, as so far the photo have only been of each study. I also got nick to take a photo with me working on it so you can see the sale. it should be quite a good size ones mounted and framed. Its 16 x 12 but with a couple of inches on the mount and the frame it will be impressive.

I have been working on my montage portrait this weekend and i have enclosed a few photos for you to see the developments. I have added some further detail to the red setter and started the next little chappy, how has amazing fur, its going to be quite tricky to capture as its soft and flowing, and really quite light. More stages to follow.

Here is the third horse of five named rebel. Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo at the early stages of rebels portrait. This does happen from time to time, I get so carried away in the drawing process that I simply forget to pic up the camera! Here are too stages anyway.

This is the second horse portrait in the set of five. The top picture is as far as I got before moving on to the next horse. It’s not quite finished but is at a stage where I am happy with it’s likeness and I’m able to move on to the next. I will reach this stage for each horse and then at the end go back over each and add the final details until I am certain they are perfect.

Here you will find up to the minute news from the studio and see the pet portraits we are currently working on. You are more than welcome to contact us at any time!
All of the paintings you see on our blog are commissions from clients worldwide. We traditionally hand paint or draw every pet portrait ourselves. There's no digital trickery involved! We start by drawing out the image by hand and follow on with painting in oils, pastel or in pencil and you can follow each stage we make here on the blog on a daily basis.
