Hi Everyone,

Well the three dog portrait is coming along well, its on work in progress one so thats kept me busy all day! I have blocked in the spaniel and thats on work in progress 3, I have left it to dry for a while before adding the detail.

This evening I have been working on the website again, im going though quite a few changes as you have probably seen from my site and I think things are looking a lot better¦. as I mentioned on Monday I have also ordered my new flyers and they should be with me any day now so I will scan one in for you all to see! My next task is to get some business cards printed, can you believe I have gone all this time without any!

I have finished two beautiful Labrador pencil sketches that im going to add to the sketch gallery tomorrow, I have started a spaniel portrait, its all blocked in and im going to wait for a while for it to dry before adding the next layers. I have also drawn in on the canvas the three dogs, which are about to reside on work in progress 1 and I will block them all in tomorrow and add them for you to see. I think its going to be an impressive one as its a Dachshund, Vizla and Shiba Inu.

I have also had five minutes to work on my website and I have been playing around with some of my gallery pages, I hope that things are looking a little more tidy than they were!

I have added the cat portrait to my gallery pages. I have had a clean out of my work in progress pages, added pet pictures to the archived and the galleries and all new pictures will be starting there tomorrow! Keep checking back! Sorry if you have been trying to get to see my website but I had bandwidth problems but they are all sorted out now. I cant believe how quickly this week has gone again, its Friday tomorrow and time just flys! Still I am guessing that enjoying your job and being so busy helps!

Nick has been looking into our family history. On his side a chap called Amram Hooper was born on Looe Island in 1725 and lived there for most of his life. He was a well-known smuggler and he died with the secret of the whereabouts of the caves where he would stash his ill-gotten gains! We hope to visit the island in the summer and I will of course keep you updated!

I have also updated my work in progress pages for my cats. I am hopefully going to finish them tomorrow and I will scan them in for you all to see!

New Addition – David Clensy has just written a new book all about looe island. The book will be available at amazon in June and this is his website! – http://www.looeisland.com  Im ordering my copy today!

Well here we are at Monday again. This morning I have been painting the black cat, its pretty much finished now and I will update the work in progress tomorrow, I also finished a pencil drawing this afternoon and this evening I played around with my blog. I wanted a design to fit in with my new look on my website. This style for my blog has some nice features too! I hope you all like it!

The forum is coming along nicely and I am having some fantastic topics being talked about on there, if you haven’t yet dropped by, please do and say hi!

Its been a busy day today and I have scanned Fel Bell into the pc and added her to my gallery pages; I think she looks lovely.

I have also added two new pencils to the work in progress 4 and to the archived pages. I have been working on my site quite a bit today, had a well needed spring clean as I have been running out of room on my server so lots of things have been removed that I really didnt need and I think its coming together quite nicely.

Enjoy!

I have finally finished Fell Bell and she is looking lovely. I have yet to add the final stages to the work in progress but I will scan her in tomorrow and add her to the gallery or you all to see. Im also going to finish the black cat tomorrow and will upload a few more stages for you to view.

See you all tomorrow!

I have been working hard on my pencil drawings today; I dont usually add them to the work in progress, as they are quite quick to do. The camera never seems to pick the graphite up very well, so if anyone has any advice on photographing white pieces of paper with pale pencil lines on let me know! I will add some in here on the blog for you all to see when I have scanned them in. I think Saturday will be a scanning and amending website day as I have a lot to update in my galleries! Stay tuned!

Wow, these passed few days have been so hectic work wise, I need a day off! I have finally cut out all the paper and printed all the photos out for the new commissions that came in over xmas. I like to get myself organised and this way I am able to see visually who is who, and what is what.

I have finished the two black dogs, one lab and one Scottie and I have now added my latest three oil portraits that are on the go. The black lab on work in progress 3 is coming along nicely and I am hoping to get that finished tomorrow or Wednesday. I have a few more stages to put online and then I hope to give a rundown on the forum of exactly how I went about this commission as black dogs seems to be a good topic to talk about at the moment. The cats are also coming along nicely, I blocked them in and left them to dry for a few days and I will go back to them on Wednesday.

I have also finished the bunnies with bling and have also designed the puppies with bling to go with it. I have just been given the go ahead to start the artwork. I am unable to post them at the moment as I am just getting the go ahead from Tescos.

So keep checking back and ill post them when I get the all go!! :clap_tb:

Today has been a catching up day. I have been going though my commissions, getting them ready, printing photos cutting paper and ordering supplies. Ive also been doing a few mock-ups as I am so behind on the new commissions that are coming in.

The forum is going well I have 24 new registered users now and a few people are starting to make posts so thats great. Its all still early days and im looking forward to seeing the community grow.

See you all tomorrow!
