PET PORTRAITS

Commission a Portrait - by Melanie & Nicholas

Archive for January, 2012

Its actually bank holiday here today so a public holiday in the UK. Having said that Nick has been working in the studio, whilst I took the Christmas tree down and spring cleaned the cottage. It always looks empty when all the cards and decorations are gone, but it is much tidier! My job tomorrow is to tidy and clean the studio as it hasn’t been done for a while and its good to get organised at the start of the year.

We have received some really lovely testimonials over the last few days from clients who’s family have received their portraits over Christmas. Ill add one of them below as its just perfect and we are thrilled to hear back from clients, it really does make our day!

Melanie & Nick,
I am writing to express my most sincere thanks for the wonderful portrait that you have completed for me–I was totally speechless when I saw it,especially as I had absolutely no idea what was planned, and then I guess, quite emotional. It is just perfect–thank you so very much. My family all love it too and I assure you that it will now be very much a family treasure.

Thank you both so much and for all the advice that I am sure you gave to David–incidentally I think the frame, which I believe he was a touch worried about, is so right for the painting.

With vey best wishes for 2012 and again my thanks Barbara Baker

Isn’t that wonderful! Nick has started the portrait of Lilly and the first stage is below, I will have more stages tomorrow and will take photos as he is painting.

Happy New Year!

I hope that you all had a fabulous Christmas and celebrated the New Year in too. This Christmas has just flown by for us. What with seeing friends and family pretty much every day, cooking and eating a lot : )  it seems to have gone by far too fast, but we had a really lovely time which was perfect.

I had planned to do a number of things in my down time over the xmas week for the business but only managed to update the website. I say only managed to, I have done quite a number of hours on them, updating a few things on all of the sites starting with new top bars with our new paintings, adding a few new paintings on all of the sites home pages, streamlining a few things on the dog, cat and horse site in regards to the galleries and I have renewed every thumbnail on all sites – that was a job and a half phew! I think its all looking at lot more organised now.

We are starting back to work properly tomorrow, I have the yearly accounts to do this coming week and lots of emails to reply to. Nick will be working away at his easel and I will take photos so you can all see what he is getting up to!

Have a fabulous 2012 and if any of my clients are reading this, I will be in touch with a new year email to everyone shortly!
