Here is the final scan of Stella and a close up detail of the portrait. The painting is of a beautiful cat with such soft silky fur which Nick has painted to the size of 16 x 12 in oil on linen canvas. My favourite part of this portrait is actually the way nick has finished the fur off at the bottom of the canvas.
Nick will be going back to the 5 cat portraits and I will add a photo of the next stage after the weekend.
