The accounts are now complete and I am thrilled that I managed to balance them this year without any help from my mathematical mum! Sadly I did not inherit my mums mathematical genes, but I get by. I always maintain that you can’t be a mathematician and have an artistic side at the same time! I had meant to have the accounts completed by February but its been so busy here that they got a bit delayed so the accountant will now be happy that they are complete. I think a late new year’s resolution should be to balance them monthly….
I have also taken some photos of Tristan’s portrait below now its framed, its come out really well and our framer has used a wide cream textured mount / matt and a larger frame on this one to work with the composition of the portrait. The client ordered a 14 x 12 portrait but the overall size is now 16 x 18 so I think the recipient will be thrilled. I have added it to the gallery on the website too – Black Curved Frame.
Nick has nearly finished Groucho’s portrait and has Lucy’s portrait underway (the lovely Bichon Frise on the sofa). Im a bit behind on the blog with putting up the stages but ill try to catch up! I think I might add all of Groucho’s stages at once and then start with Lucy’s separately so that it doesn’t get too confusing.
Its another public holiday here today but we are working, we had a really relaxing weekend though and couldn’t have asked for better weather. Tom did so well on his walk, we went with Meg and friends in the forestry and of course met quite a few other dogs on and off the lead. We trotted on by without stopping for each dog and he did so well. We then sat in the beer garden in the little village pub for a drink in the sunshine and there were at least 5 other dogs in close proximity all laying under the picnic tables. Again Tom did so well we are really pleased. It would probably have been different if they were all running around and barking but because everyone was relaxed it was perfect environment for him to experience. The more positive experiences like that the better. A good excuse to sit and relax in the beer garden on a summers evening I think…….
