This is Nick holding the latest pastel pet portrait to be framed and its packed and being sent to the clients as we speak. The clients opted for the lovely wide honey frame which is such a lovely frame and goes well with a lot of our pet portraits and looks quite substantial when hung on the wall too.

This is Nicks Latest portrait to come off the easel, its a pastel painting 20 x 16 and we are taking it to the framers hopefully tomorrow so I will blog some photos of the portrait framed.

Here’s the cat portrait of Sidney framed and I will be packing this one up and sending it soon, as its for a birthday at the start of June. The montage portrait of Lilly is coming along well and Nicks working on the double pastel portrait so things are running smoothly here – and enjoying this lovely sunshine too!

Here is the 24 x 18 pastel montage framed. We feel it has come out beautifully and the colours of the honey frame go really well with Ellie’s coat. Hopefully we will have this one packed up and ready to go soon. I will be blogging the portrait of Sidney the cat framed in the next couple of days and I am just starting my pencil montage of Lilly and its looking really nice so hopefully I will have the final scan to blog early next week as well.

This is Nicks latest portrait to come off the easel and it will be taken to the framers next week. Its going to have a lovely gold frame to bring out the rich tones in the long coat. This portrait has actually reminded us of our old cat Ammy, the same long fur and very similar markings. Ill take some photos for the blog when its framed!

We now have the portrait of the Dalmatian framed and it is so lovely here I took the chance to take some photos of the portrait in the garden. It will hopefully be wending its merry way to the client soon and I think they are really looking forward to receiving it.
The garden is blooming at the moment and I have taken quite a few photos this month as things have started to come out in flower. I have also made a webpage about it and you can see more photos and read about it on Our Garden page which I hope to keep updated as there are lots of developments happening there so ill be adding photos as the summer months go by.

This is my latest portrait to come off the easel. I’m really pleased with how this one came out and it has a lovely light feel to it. Nick took a photo of my hand working on the portrait and I also took some promotional photos with my pencils on the portrait so that I could use them on our website. I have made a page about our three different mediums – pastel, pencil and oils and chose this portrait to show as an example of a pencil drawing. You can see the new page I have created in the commissioning info section – portrait styles.
Nick has started the lovely cat portrait in pastel which I hope to blog soon, the Dalmatian has gone to the framers so ill take photos and blog that as soon as it arrives back and im about to start a new pencil montage of a flat coated retriever.

This is Nicks latest horse portrait in pastel, its a montage 18 x 14 and its really stunning here in the studio. It doest really show the scale of it on the blog but its pretty large. The background is cream but it hasn’t come out in the photos unfortunately. I have also completed a pencil portrait which I will blog soon too.
