Here are a couple of new pieces I have completed this week. Sasha was painted in oils and Sam was in graphite pencil. Its been a busy week here again, i have got a few paintings and drawings finished that have been here started in the studio for a while. I’m just finishing a coloured pencil drawing at the moment and then i will be finishing the black Labrador. I’m looking forward to the ground on this one actually as its lovely shiny wood. My graphic design skills have also been put to the test as i have been designing adverts for magazines and some posters for a local organics and crafts company.

Here is one of my latest portraits, currently drying in my studio nearly ready to be sent to the client. I really enjoyed painting Naz particularly the colours and the rich background, I feel it really compliments the colours of the dog. You can see him in my Oil Gallery One.

Hi everyone,

Things have been busy, i have been blocking in 4 oils at once this week, well not literally at once :) i started with ‘Shadow’ on her bed, i then blocked in Naz, i really enjoyed creating the background with its all rich colours. I then blocked in Sasha the Alsatian, so they are all in their first stage of drying. I’m now working on the ‘shop dog’ as i like to call him. Oliver is being painted on a 36 x 24 canvas and is slowly taking shape. So the drawing below, although is my latest i haven’t been able to blog him for the last week! We have also had thunderstorms here this week, the weather has been very humid and warm, so some afternoons i haven’t even had the pc on. I learnt my lesson the hard way, we always unplug everything now. We live in a rural area as you may know, and we have lost quite a few appliances including a cooker, my laptop and the telephone over the years! So now everything gets unplugged! :)
