Full Backgrounds for Pet Portraits

The only medium for a full background is Oils on canvas. Oil paints have the ability to blend, producing soft subtle tones, giving your foreground subject the central focus. Oil paintings with full backgrounds can look very photographic and overall very impressive.

If you would like your pet in a setting of your choice I am able to use your photos as reference. These can be of a garden scene, sitting on a favourite cushion, on a chair, splashing in your village pond! The list is endless, many of my clients like to see their pet in a setting that they most enjoy being in. Below are a few examples of pets in backgrounds.

Many clients study my previous commissions visualising what their pet would look like in each particular background I have painted. Some backgrounds are from my own refernce photos and so are available if you would like your pet painted in them. This is handy if you are unable to provide background photos.
