Archived Graphite Pencil Pet Portraits Gallery 2
Welcome to my Pencil archived Gallery. All of my pet portraits start off in the Work in Progress section of the website. Once complete they are exhibited in the main galleries. I like to keep the main oil gallery to only 4 or 5 pages, as this is easier for me to maintain. I paint about 40 to 50 portraits per year so obviously I couldn’t have them all on there!
So to make room for the new pieces, and to give everyone a chance to see their portrait on my website, I have created an archived gallery for my artwork. You will find examples from the last few years and if you would like to see larger examples of any of these portraits please dont hesitate to email me at any time.

| Graphite pencil portraits (black and white) are a very delicate and dynamic way of portraying any animal. They are great value, as they take far less time to complete than oil paintings. Over the years many clients have come to me with old black and white photographs of a long since departed pets. Graphite pencil is the perfect medium for such a task. My pencil portraits contain a great amount of detail and will match any décor; they are classic timeless works of art. |

| Pencil drawings are suitable for creating full backgrounds. If you require a background to your portrait, one of my specialties is to create a soft vignette of your choice, usually a garden with flowers - any photo you have can be used for reference. |

| Another trademark of mine is to have graphite pencil sketches around your main portrait. This can enhance your portrait, as you are able to capture the many characters of your pet in the one portrait. A Graphite Pencil portrait is drawn on heavy white Italian Fabriano Paper. |

| Your pencil pet portrait will arrive to you flat packed with specialist packing materials that museums and galleries use, to avoid damage through the post. Once you receive the portrait you can frame it in ready made frames, or you can take it to your local framer where you can choose a matching mount/matt to compliment the portrait and frame. This type of portrait needs to be framed under glass, preferably non reflective. |
